Diana Diroy is a documentary filmmaker,video producer, editor, photographer, and a video production youth educator.
Diana (pronounced dee-ah-nuh), received her MA in Media Studies and Film from the New School in 2012. From documenting female cab drivers in NY to her most recent documentary about undocumented immigrants, whether it is through the still photograph or film, visual storytelling is her passion. She is also the co-founder of Her Girl Friday, a Brooklyn-based group dedicated to empowering women in journalism and other forms of non-fiction storytelling by creating opportunities for learning, networking, and collaboration. Her most recent work is working with the EdLab video crew in producing the New Learning Times series called Seen In New York.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Diana graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Photojournalism.
Diana’s passion for visual storytelling is grounded in her drive to connect with people.
